Just a few short months after the upcoming July 29th release of Girlfriends The Fourth Season, news from TVshowsonDVD.com reports that The Fifth Season of the hit show will be released on October 28th!

The show may be canceled, but the DVD releases go on! Girlfriends Joan, Maya, Toni and Lynn return to disc for their 5th Season set on October 28th. These 22 episodes will be presented in widescreen video, with English 5.1 audio and guest stars that include Demond Wilson, Rev. Al Sharpton, James Avery, Joan Pringle, Penn Jillette, Cindy Williams, Malik Yoba, Dawn Wells and music artist Adrian "Tricky" Thaws. Stay tuned for box art, and any other info we can find out about Girlfriends - The Complete 5th Season.

Almost exactly three months from the 4th season's release, this news is doubly exciting because hopefully Paramount will follow this quick release schedule so that the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th seasons will be available by this time next year!!

"Euphoria" isn't even the word!!!! :-) Thats the least Paramount can do for the faithful viewers since the show didn't get the proper finale that it deserved! `Oh HELL yes!
